Wee Book Fest : Roald Dahl Birthday Party

This year marks the 100th anniversary of Roald Dahl’s birth. One of our greatest storytellers he has enchanted generations with tales as varied as The Twits, James and the Giant Peach, and The BFG. If this doesn’t warrant a party, we don’t know what does!

In celebration of the occasion our booksellers are rustling up a few Dahl delights – some of George’s delicious Marvellous Medicine, peach tart and story time before we launch into a craft session, making our very own dream jars!

Dream Jars feature in the ever-popular BFG, about a big, friendly giant who blows dreams into the bedrooms of children around the world. We plan to capture some of our own dreams, bottling them up, talking about them, and for a brief time putting them in the Bookshop’s window before they get taken home.

Ideal for children aged 6-11yrs.
