Bookshop Story Time : The Book with No Pictures

Join us in the children’s room to discover some of our booksellers’ favourite picture books! Once a month we’ll be settling in for a special story (or two), with carefully chosen tales to delight your babies, toddlers and young children.

This month we’ve picked The Book With No Pictures. 

You might think a book with no pictures seems boring and serious. Except …here’s how books work. Everything written on the page has to be said by the person reading it aloud. Even if the words say …BLORK. Or BLUURF. And even if the words include things like BLAGGITY BLAGGITY and MY HEAD IS MADE OF BLUEBERRY PIZZA! That’s the rule. That’s the deal. Brilliantly irreverent and very, very silly, The Book With No Pictures is an absolute delight for children – and the young at heart!

We’ll be meeting one sunday of every month and starting at 10am. Vouchers to join are £3 and this can be used off any picture book in the children’s room. Gatherings last approximately 30 minutes during which time parents can switch off with a cup of tea or coffee, a biscuit and a good browse.
