Reif Larsen’s debut The Selected Works of T.S.Spivet was a whimsical coming-of-age tale that garnered huge critical acclaim, and was adapted for the screen by the makers of Amelie. The likes of Stephen King called it
“a book that does the impossible: it combines Mark Twain, Thomas Pynchon, and Little Miss Sunshine”.
Join us for an evening with Reif as he takes us through his gripping, utterly original new novel I Am Radar. Beginning at Radar’s perplexing birth in 1975 – a black child mysteriously born to white parents – the book launches its readers around the globe and throughout history. As Radar falls in with a secretive group of puppeteers and scientists, he is soon forced to confront the true nature of his identity.
Brace yourselves, Reif has a few surprises in store.
