Literary Odyssey – September Reading Group

After a short summer hiatus, we return for our September reading group with ‘A Whole Life’ by Robert Seethaler. This internationally acclaimed and Booker shortlisted novel is nothing short of a masterpiece, a gently powerful contemplation of a self-sustaining life in 20th century Switzerland. Andreas Egger knows every path and peak of his mountain valley, the source of his sustenance, his livelihood – his home. His story is one of man’s relationship with an ancient landscape, of the value of solitude, the arrival of the modern world, and above all, of the moments, great and small, that make us who we are.
