Jazz Poetry Night with Hermine Pinson, Don Paterson and guests

A poetry night with a musical twist, the Bookshop plays host to beats both real and poetic in honour of Hermine Pinson!

Pinson, an American Poet and academic with three brilliant collections to her name is renown for her spoken-word performances. Her poetry lauded for being “bookwise, streetwise, cool metaphysical”, a weighty, visceral blend of morality and melody.

The evening will feature spoken word poetry from Pinson and guest poets, alongside the musical stylings of St Andrews’ own Don Paterson and his Jazz ensemble.
