It’s no secret that we love our crime fiction here in St Andrews, and what better way to spend a chilly February night than with the fabulous Elly Griffiths? We’re delighted that Elly will be joining us to talk about The Chalk Pit, the latest instalment in her celebrated Dr Ruth Galloway series.
Dr Galloway’s investigations take her into ever-increasingly sinister grounds as she attempts to uncover the mystery behind a collection of bones recently deposited beneath the streets of Norwich. What starts as an archaeological excavation soon turns into one of the most dangerous and unsettling cases Dr Galloway has ever faced.
Elly is a superb speaker; interesting, funny and hilariously candid on everything from archaeology to her characters and her time in publishing and we’re thrilled to be able to welcome her to the bookshop. This promises be a wonderful evening with a truly spectacular crime writer.
‘I refuse to apologise for being in love with Dr Ruth Galloway and DCI Harry Nelson . . one of my favourite current crime series . . . a pleasure from start to finish.’ – Val McDermid

As our event book vouchers have a redeemable value, we do not post them out. They are available for collection from the bookshop at any point before the event (and there is often a slight incentive with this option), or alternatively they can be collected on the door of the event.
If you require more than 10 places, please contact the bookshop for a group booking so that we can arrange to seat you together.
The full price of your voucher is an advance book deposit against a copy of the book featured at the event, which also guarantees admittance for one person. Event book vouchers are redeemable at any point up to and including the day of the event, but not afterwards.
In order to maintain the great value of our event book vouchers, we have to reduce administration to an absolute minimum. This means that we aren’t able to refund or exchange event book vouchers.
