“Alison Weir has perfected the art of bringing history to life. There is a breadth of vision to her research and writing that provides a sense of time and place as well as consequence.” – Chicago Tribune
Alison Weir is a true bookshop favourite; she is one of the country’s leading popular historians and has utilised her vast field of knowledge to bring to life some of history’s most neglected female figures. We are absolutely delighted to welcome Alison back to the bookshop this summer for a fabulously entertaining and informative evening talking all things historical women.
Alison’s latest endeavours include bringing the ever-fascinating (and ever-controversial) figure of Anne Boleyn to life in her latest novel Anne Boleyn: A King’s Obsession, and a spectacular study of medieval female monarchs in Queens of The Conquest. She is an exceptional speaker with a wealth of expertise, and it is a joy see her return to the bookshop.
These specially reduced Event Vouchers are only available for a limited time. They include attendance at the event as well as a £5 Book Voucher, fully redeemable against a 2017 title by Alison Weir.
As our event book vouchers have a redeemable value, we do not post them out. They are available for collection from the bookshop at any point before the event (and there is often a slight incentive with this option), or alternatively they can be collected on the door of the event.
If you require more than 10 places, please contact the bookshop for a group booking so that we can arrange to seat you together.
The full price of your voucher is an advance book deposit against a copy of the book featured at the event, which also guarantees admittance for one person. Event book vouchers are redeemable at any point up to and including the day of the event, but not afterwards.
In order to maintain the great value of our event book vouchers, we have to reduce administration to an absolute minimum. This means that we aren’t able to refund or exchange event book vouchers.
