Kathleen Jamie published her first pamphlet of poetry at the age of twenty and has, since then, honed not only a remarkable poetic voice, but a mode of listening to the world with — both emotionally and artistically — a deep-rooted honesty. We are delighted to welcome her back to St Andrews, where she previously taught in the School of English, to celebrate her Selected Poems.

Gathering her finest pieces, and showing the diverse range of Jamie’s work, Selected Poems spans several decades. It is the perfect volume for those discovering Jamie’s poetry for the first time, and for readers who already cherish it. An adept reader of her own work, and with a keen knowledge of the world around us (as evidenced in her non-fiction, as well as her poetry) Kathleen Jamie is simply extraordinary, and not to be missed.
