Garfy the Cat

Ely’s most famous cat Garfield Abercrombie Reginald Fergusson (better known as Garfy) is an elegant ginger tom with a white bib and socks who lives in a flat opposite a large meadow. Roaming the meadow is Garfy’s joy – it’s his own private kingdom. Until one day someone puts up fences and builds a Paterson’s Superstore on Garfy’s meadow.
Having initially tried to sabotage the building works, Garfy decides to adopt the supermarket as his home-from-home. He makes a guest appearance at the grand opening of the store and rapidly becomes a celebrity cat. Now we are delighted to invite you to meet him and his human companions, David Willers and Cate Caruth in the bookshop – a feline first for us!
