Deborah Levy – Hot Milk

Rose is suffering from a strange illness and her doctors are mystified. Her daughter Sofia has brought her to the Spanish coast to find a cure with the infamous and controversial Dr Gomez – a man of questionable methods and motives. Intoxicated by thick heat and the seductive people who move through it, both women begin to see their lives clearly for the first time in years. Booker short-listed Hot Milk  is a delirious fairy tale of feminine potency, a story both modern and timeless.

Book places

Collect before the day £5

These specially reduced event book vouchers must be collected from the bookshop before Monday 9th October.

Collect on the day £5

These event book vouchers can be collected at any time, including on the door of the event.

Collecting your event book voucher

As our event book vouchers have a redeemable value, we do not post them out. They are available for collection from the bookshop at any point before the event (and there is often a slight incentive with this option), or alternatively they can be collected on the door of the event.

Group bookings

If you require more than 10 places, please contact the bookshop for a group booking so that we can arrange to seat you together.

How our reading group book vouchers work

The full price of your Reading Group book vouchers is an advance book deposit against any book on our shelves, as well as guaranteeing admittance to the reading group for one person. They are only valid on the evening of the meeting.

Pricing explanation

Meeting people at the bookshop is the best part of being a bookseller, so the discounted price for collection in advance is a little incentive for you to come and visit us before the day of the event itself!

Refunds and Exchanges

In order to maintain the great value of our event book vouchers, we have to reduce administration to an absolute minimum. This means that we aren’t able to refund or exchange event book vouchers.
