The group marks the centenary of the distinguished children's author Joan Aiken's by discussing The Whispering Mountain, the characteristically colourful and adventurous prequel to her celebrated Wolves Chronicles. It will be paired with Alan Garner's near contemporaneous classic of psychological fantasy - another book with a vividly-realised mid-Wales location that stretched the boundaries of genre to enthral  readers of all ages.
