Reading Group

The Contemporary Fiction Reading Group meets on the second Tuesday of each month on the top floor of the Bookshop

The group is run collectively, with each Bookseller taking a turn to choose a book. The evening consists of about an hour’s informal discussion over a glass of wine.

You do not need to commit to one group, or every meeting! Just book for those you're interested in each month, and we hope to entice you back for another one.

Each place is £7, which can be redeemed against a copy of any book.

This month's choice: The Children's Bach by Helen Garner

They are friends. They live with their young sons in a sparsely furnished house near the Merri Creek: its walls cracking, its floors sloping and its doors hanging loosely in their frames. There is a piano in their kitchen.
