A very special event comes to Ely: Paul Roberts, Chief Curator of the superb Life and Death in Pompeii and Herculaneum exhibition at the British Museum, will be joining us to give an illustrated talk and a very personal sneak peek behind the scenes. The exhibition has been hugely praised for its breadth and its opening onto a world beautifully-and cruelly- preserved by the ash that destroyed it.
