Join us in the bookshop for a wonderful evening of poetry with Sarah Mnatzaganian, Kathy Pimlott, and Ramona Herdman, to celebrate their collections, Lemonade in the Armenian Quarter, the small manoeuvres, and Glut.

Sarah Mnatzaganian is an Anglo Armenian poet. Her debut pamphlet, Lemonade in the Armenian Quarter (Against the Grain Poetry Press) won the 2022 Saboteur Best Poetry Pamphlet Award and has been widely reviewed. Other poems have been/will soon be featured in The Rialto, Poetry News, PN Review, The North, Poetry Wales, Poetry Ireland Review, Magma, Pennine Platform, Poetry Salzburg, The Frogmore Papers, Alchemy Spoon, London GripAtrium and several anthologies.  She was awarded first prize in the Spelt competition in 2021. Sarah has read at the King’s Lynn Poetry Festival, Poetry in Aldeburgh and Blakeney poetry festivals and her book was launched to a sell-out audience here last year.

Kathy Pimlott’s collection, the small manoeuvres, was published by Verve Poetry Press in 2022. She has two pamphlets with the Emma Press, Elastic Glue​, (2019) and Goose Fair Night (2016). Her poems have been published widely in magazines, including Magma, Mslexia, The North, Poem, Finished Creatures and Under the Radar and in many anthologies including, online on the Poetry Archive’s Wordview 2020 Winners Collection and in the Live Canon Poetry Competition anthology 2021 and  2022.  She has read at poetry festivals in Aldeburgh, Ledbury, Birmingham and Blakeney, as well as on BBC Nottingham Radio, Soho Radio and Brum Radio Poets. Kathy lives in Seven Dials, Covent Garden, home of the broadsheet and the ballad.

Ramona Herdman’s new collection, Glut, was published by Nine Arches Press in August 2022. Her pamphlet, A Warm and Snouting Thing, was shortlisted in the poetry category of the East Anglian Book Awards. Her pamphlet, Bottle, was the Poetry Book Society Pamphlet Choice for Spring 2018 and one of the Poetry School’s Books of the Year 2017. One of her poems was chosen for the Poetry Archive’s Wordview 2021 and another won the Poetry Society’s Hamish Canham prize 2017.  She has read at many events, including Poetry in Aldeburgh, the Poetry Society AGM, and a fringe event at StAnza itself back in 2019. She lives in Norwich and is a committee member for Café Writers.
