DCI Nelson and his team are called in to investigate the murder of a woman in a blue dress, and soon establish that the dead woman was a recovering addict being treated near to the shrine town of Walsingham – a place atheist Ruth has managed to avoid during her seventeen years in Norfolk. But she is sucked into the investigation when an old college friend, now a priest , reveals she has been receiving vitriolic anonymous letters which contain a striking phrase about a woman ‘clad in blue, weeping for the world’. Then another woman is murdered – a priest. As Walsingham prepares for its annual Easter re-enactment of the Crucifixion, the race begins to find the killer before someone else dies…The eighth Ruth Galloway mystery is the most gripping yet, and we are delighted to welcome Elly once more to tell us about it, and especially about Ruth’s day out in Ely !
This event will take place in Ely Library!
