We have loved Elly Griffiths’ Norfolk-based crime series about forensic archaeologist Ruth Galloway ever since the first book, The Crossing Places, and we were very excited to hear about the latest instalment, The Outcast Dead.

Ruth is excavating the remains of the gruesome local legend Mother Hook (and negoatiating a television crew!) when she finds herself once more entangled in the investigations of the decidedly irascible DI Harry Nelson. Children have died, another is missing, and Ruth is going to be involved far more personally than ever before… Elly is a fantastic speaker and her readings from the book are superb. Those of you who have encountered Elly and Ruth before know what a treat this will be- those of you who haven’t read the books yet, come along and see what you’ve been missing!
