In 2006 Deb Perelman began her award-winning cookery blog, Smitten Kitchen, to show (in her words) “fearless cooking from a tiny kitchen in New York City”. Since then she has gained a worldwide audience for her stunning photography and clear, hands-on instructions and suggestions, and published her first cookbook this year. Deb does not believe in making too much washing up, the need to source pink salt from the Himalayas to create great food, or finicky instructions: the focus is firmly on stunning tastes and exciting combinations that are accessible to everyone, however confident or inexperienced.
To celebrate the publication of The Smitten Kitchen Cookbook we are delighted to welcome Deb to the UK, and Ely in particular, for a demonstration and talk. Expect exciting food ideas, charming conversation and a completely enchanting speaker and chef.
