Join us for a night of incisive and hilarious discussion as we tour the absurdities of the present age.
We’re delighted to welcome back David Mitchell as he talks about his new book Dishonesty is the Second-Best Policy: And Other Rules to Live By.
It’s an eclectic collection (or eclection) of attempts to make light of all the darkness in the modern world. But it’s not just jokes about night time: scampi, politics, the Olympics, terrorism, exercise, rude street names, inheritance tax, salad cream, proportional representation and farts are all touched upon by Mitchell’s unremitting laser of chit-chat, as he negotiates a path between the commercialisation of Christmas and the true spirit of Halloween.
