Daniel was first employed in a restaurant in 1989 and gradually moved up in responsibility until being named head chef of iconic Cambridge restaurant Midsummer House, in 1998. He was awarded his second Michelin star in the 2005 list – one of only eleven restaurants in the UK and Ireland to be awarded two stars. To celebrate his twentieth year at Midsummer House he has produced a sumptuous book, Out of My Tree, a collection of recipes interspersed with stories of the making of Midsummer House. We are truly privileged to welcome Daniel to Ely to talk about his life and work, and invite you to mark the publication of Out of My Tree with fizz and canapes!
