The Knights Templar were the wealthiest, most powerful – and most secretive – of the military orders that flourished in the crusading era. Their story – encompassing as it does the greatest international conflict of the Middle Ages, a network of international finance, a swift rise in wealth and influence followed by a bloody and humiliating fall – has left a comet’s tail of mystery that continues to fascinate and inspire historians, novelists and conspiracy theorists. Dan Jones tells this extraordinary saga of fanaticism, bravery, treachery and betrayal with his customary brio and exuberance, combining sensible scholarship with narrative swagger.  Dan is the bestselling author of Summer of Blood, The Plantagenets,  and Realm Divided, and The Templars will cement his position as our leading medievalist.

Book places

Collect before the day £6

These specially reduced event book vouchers must be collected from the bookshop before Wednesday 25th October.

Collect on the day £7

These event book vouchers can be collected at any time, including on the door of the event.

Collecting your event book voucher

As our event book vouchers have a redeemable value, we do not post them out. They are available for collection from the bookshop at any point before the event (and there is often a slight incentive with this option), or alternatively they can be collected on the door of the event.

Group bookings

If you require more than 10 places, please contact the bookshop for a group booking so that we can arrange to seat you together.

How our event book vouchers work

The full price of your voucher is an advance book deposit against a copy of the book featured at the event, which also guarantees admittance for one person. Event book vouchers are redeemable at any point up to and including the day of the event, but not afterwards.

Pricing explanation

Meeting people at the bookshop is the best part of being a bookseller, so the discounted price for collection in advance is a little incentive for you to come and visit us before the day of the event itself!

Refunds and Exchanges

In order to maintain the great value of our event book vouchers, we have to reduce administration to an absolute minimum. This means that we aren’t able to refund or exchange event book vouchers.
