We are delighted to welcome Anthony Horowitz to Ely to discuss his latest novel, The Word is Murder.  This page-turning new thriller is the first in a series of crime novels starring Detective Michael Hawthorne, and promises buried secrets, unexpected death and a trail of bloody clues.  Anthony’s career is wide-ranging and varied: author of the bestselling teen spy series, Alex Rider, he is also responsible for creating and writing some of the UK’s most loved and successful TV series, including Midsomer Murders and Foyle’s War.  Anthony has also written two highly acclaimed Sherlock Holmes novels, The House of Silk and Moriarty, a James Bond novel, Trigger Mortis, and his  recent stand-alone novel, Magpie Murders,  a  Sunday Times Top Five bestseller.  We do hope you’ll join us for what promises to be a scintillating evening!
