An Evening with Philippa Gregory
Wednesday 7th February 2018
St Mary's Church, St Mary's Street, Ely, Cambridgeshire CB7 4HF
7.10pm
7.30pm

In this exclusive event, part of a series of informal talks, million-selling author, Philippa Gregory, will discuss the issues writers face when tackling the indescribable: from unimaginable horrors to the irrational. Using examples from her new novel, Dark Tracks, Philippa will show how she explored writing about the Holocaust, and tackled issues of consent, and deep conflicts of religion. Philippa will open up the discussion to hear from readers and fellow writers – from beginners to published experts – to share the difficulties of writing about known horrors and unknown secrets. Editors from Simon & Schuster will be present and able to provide a publisher’s perspective.
This will be a fascinating evening, a rare chance to hear about the writing process and fiction of one of our most interesting and successful literary stars – we do hope you can join us.
