Aldeburgh, the jewel of the Suffolk Coast, has always beguiled its many visitors. It is no surprise to anyone that the town attracted so many of our greatest creative talents with everyone from Edward Fitzgerald to H G Wells taking inspiration from their atmospheric surroundings.

Aldeburgh: A Song of the Sea is the book that many of us have been waiting for: a history of Aldeburgh from its roots in Roman occupation through to the present day, examining its culture, history and vibrant local personalities in prose that is both thorough and accessible. This has been a labour of love for its author, and we are delighted that Tim will be joining us to celebrate its publication.

Tim is a brilliant writer and a wonderful speaker: we are delighted that he is joining us to celebrate the beauty of one of our most loved Eastern towns. Come along to delve into Aldeburgh’s secret history!
