Afternoon Tea with P. D. James

St Mary's Church, St Mary's Street, Ely, CB7 4HF
3pm

A few more tickets are now available for this event – book soon!
It seems only right that three great English institutions – Jane Austen, Afternoon Tea and P. D. James – should be combined in this special event. P. D. James’ masterful sequel to Pride and Prejudice brilliantly blends sharp social observation with suspense and intrigue. Death Comes to Pemberley is an elegant and skilful homage to Austen, with the added twist that only our pre-eminent crime writer could bestow. Join us to hear from a great and charming writer, who has set many of her novels in East Anglia, and whose literary career has spanned five decades.
Louise will be providing a lovely selection of homemade scones and cakes, and of course, pots of tea.
Tickets include £4 off any of P. D. James’ books at the event, and a £4 voucher which may be redeemed against any book at the bookshop on the day of the event.
