Tuesday 13th September
Greenside Church, 1b Royal Terrace, Edinburgh, EH7 5AB
What a joy it is to announce a new event in Edinburgh this September with Sporty Spice herself: Melanie C. For the first time ever, Melanie tells her unique life story in her own words, giving a full and honest account of what life was really like in The Spice Girls.
Beginning in her bedroom in the North-West of England dreaming of performing on stage, Who I Am follows the meteoric rise of The Spice Girls, from a collection of singers brought together by an ad in the paper to a worldwide sensation that would spread the message of Girl Power to stadiums around the world.
It looks at the incredible highs of becoming one of the world’s most recognisable popstars – playing at Wembley, conquering the BRITs, closing the Olympics – but also the difficult lows.
For the first time ever, Melanie talks about the pressures of fame, the shaming and bullying she experienced, the struggles she has had with her body image and mental health, and the difficulty of finding yourself when the whole world knows your name.
Who I Am is an incredible story of resilience, hope and how you can find your power.
Spice up your life and join us for an evening in the company of Girl Power’s finest this September!
