Writer and journalist Kate Spicer is a middle-aged woman trying to steer some order into a life that is going off the rails. When she adopts a lurcher called Wolfy, the shabby rescue dog saves her from herself. A brilliant, life-affirming tragicomic memoir, Lost Dog is a love story, a myth of modern womanhood, and the enduring mystery of the relationship between human and canine.

During what promises to be a very entertaining evening, Kate will be discussing The Eight Things Only Dog Owners Know – with a few tangents about all sorts of things like crisps, the gap between rich and poor, poo bags and sending up herself and her family – and generally celebrating the absurdly good thing that is living with and loving a dog! The talk will be followed with a signing by Kate, and a paw-printing from her muse, the one the only, Wolfy.
