Jess Elliott Dennison is a food writer and the founder of Elliott’s. Her cookbook Midweek Recipes was a runaway success, becoming our bestselling cookbook of 2024 (and potentially even all time!) and was one of the Spectator's best books of the year.
Previously Jess was part of Jamie Oliver’s team, and ran Elliott’s Cafe for five years. Elliott's was listed on Conde Nast’s Best Edinburgh Restaurant List.
Jess’s cooking has been featured in VOGUE, Stylist, The World of Interiors, Monocle, The Guardian, The Scotsman, TOAST and The Independent, and other publications.
Following on from Midweek Recipes, we're delighted to welcome Jess to join us for Weekend Recipes, a collection of joyful dishes to enjoy making once the working week is done.
With chapters of Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Baking, Dinner and Pudding, these are the flavours and methods for when there’s slightly more time for connecting with your ingredients, kitchen and company.
Including everything from sherbet-y lemon curd for spreading over toast in the morning, to sweet roast pepper, charred silverskin onion and parmesan crostini for mid-day, to spaghetti and oregano meatballs followed by blackcurrant pavlova with lemon and bay custard for the evening.
Written, tested, photographed and published all from her Studio in Edinburgh.
