Feminist Fiction Reading Group

We are excited to announce the book we are reading for September's Feminist Fiction Reading Group is The Adventures of China Iron by Gabriela Cabezon Camara, which follows China as she escapes from her marriage in 1870s Argentina and befriends a Scottish free-spirit named Liz. Together they begin their escapades through the Argentinian heartland, sharing their fears and pasts with each other, all whilst embodying the subversive retelling of Argentina’s foundational gaucho epic, Martin Fierro in a new, fresh, and searing light.
