What will the world look like in ten thousand years—or ten million? In Footprints: In Search of Future Fossils David Farrier presents a profound meditation on climate change and the Anthropocene and an urgent search for the fossils—industrial, chemical, geological—that humans are leaving behind right now.  From the Great Barrier Reef to an ice core laboratory in Tasmania, he tells a story of a world that is changing rapidly, whether we like it or not.

Through literature, art, and science, Footprints invites us to think about how we will be remembered in the myths, stories, and languages of our distant descendants. It’s a pleasure to have David in the bookshop for a prescient and urgent conversation on what the future holds post-climate change.
