Venetian food is laden with nostalgia, synonymous with comfort and the source of endless fascination. It is dappled with pungent spices and rich flavours from buttery pine nuts, plump raisins to sweet vinegar and bay. Expect tastes of White Asparagus with Zabione Sauce, Roasted Celery with Cherry Tomatoes and Pancetta and Meringue Semifreddo.
This evening’s supper in the bookshop will consist of an aperitif and 3 courses from A Table in Venice. Skye will give a talk over supper and demonstrate some of her delicious recipes.
