The Story of King Bladud with Jane Samson

Local illustrator and artist, Jane Samson, will be launching her charming children’s book, The Story of King Bladud.

It tells the story of Bladud, an Iron Age prince who has the terrible misfortune to become ill with leprosy.

To the dismay of all around him, he is banished from the kingdom and has to fend for himself. He becomes a swineherd but the pigs become ill too.

Can the magic healing spa waters of Bath provide a cure and allow Bladud to return home and be crowned king? Or will he and his swine companions be doomed to remain in exile forever?
