‘The environment  is the most urgent political problem of our time’. Roger Scruton, regarded as one of Britain’s most important philosophers, will be joining us to talk about his new book Green Philosophy: How to Think Seriously About the Planet in which he poses a Conservative case for the protection of the environment. He states that we must take personal responsibility for the environment rather than relying on NGOs or international committees. This pressing issue which affects us all can be tackled, Roger argues, by empowering individuals through local associations. The environment remains one of the most debated issues of our modern world and this important book demonstrates the urgency of taking action in order to address the future safety of our planet and species.
