To celebrate the publication of a major new anthology, the distinguished poet, critic, translator, and former Poet Laureate of the United States, Robert Pinsky, joins us to read a selection of his ground-breaking verse.
The recipient of numerous accolades and honours, including the American Academy of Arts and Letters award and a Guggenheim Foundation fellowship, Pinsky has been a prominent voice in American letters for over three decades. Though Pinsky has been a vocal advocate of poetry’s civic importance, his verse is nevertheless notable for its relaxed conversational rhythms and searching examination of private as well as public histories.
This is a wonderful opportunity to hear one of America’s leading poet-critics and promises to be a very memorable evening.
