Reading Group: Snapper by Brian Kimberling

Brian Kimberling is a promising new voice in literature and winner of the Janklow & Nesbit Bath Spa Prize. In his novel Snapper, Kimberling’s distinctly American subject matter is shown through detached yet affectionate eyes that bridge the gap between Britain and the idiosyncratic world of Southern Indiana. Snapper tells the story of professional birdwatcher, Nathan Lochmueller, whose thoughts are divided  between the habits of the birds he surveys and the tantalisingly unattainable Lola.
