The March choice for our lovely reading group is something a little more obscure. Hopefully, however, it will be a discovery worth making! David Constantine is a much admired short-story writer, winning the Frank O’Connor international short award in 2013. The Life-Writer is his first novel, and it is a truly brilliant one. On release, it received glittering reviews for its portrayal of grief and irrational jealousy, and a moving but unsentimental reflection on what it means to love someone, and the troubles that come with clinging to a lost life.
Join our wonderful tribe of regulars for wine and nibbles and an evening of conversation and contemplation, and the grand unveiling of April’s reading group choice!
