Literary Walk

Ask most people which author they associate with Bath and the answer will be Jane Austen. However, had you asked that in the 1920s the answer would undoubtedly have been Charles Dickens. Yet Bath has a proud literary tradition, from Burney to Betjeman, from satire to historical romance.

Join Kirsten Elliott and Andrew Swift on a tour which recalls some neglected authors as well as those whose names are familiar to everyone.

We’ll be meeting in the bookshop at 10am, before setting out at 10.30am. The walk will last approximately 1-1.5 hours, ending at the Bookshop with a cup of coffee!
