Seriously funny and cleverly comic, John Hegley has captivated and devastated audiences all over the country at theatres and festivals, and with appearances on radio and television. With melodic wit, and a knack for expressing the metaphysical in the most straight-talking fashion, John started out busking in the street outside a shoe shop in Leicester, moved to London and formed a band, and has since then achieved near-legendary status as a poet and performer. New and Selected Potatoes shows the breadth of his appeal, with poems on everything from love, family, and France, to dogs, gods, spectacles and – of course – potatoes.

Places for this event are limited to two per person and must be reserved in person at the bookshop.
