Jonathan Ray – leading wine expert, and Spectator Drinks Editor joins us to host a spirits tasting evening celebrating the best in spirits and liqueurs from whisky to Tequila, rum and grappa. He will look at what makes certain brands so enduring, and why the drinks taste the way they do and the ways to drink them.

He will share anecdotes, facts and stories including the history of the Bloody Mary and why the Burnley Miners’ Social Club in Lancashire in the north of England is the world’s largest consumer of Benedictine – drinking over 1,000 bottles a year.

With his delightful new book That’s the Spirit! and his characteristic verve and humour, Jonathan Ray will share the key facts you need to know in order to become an expert on spirits. Don’t miss this evening of fun & spirits!
