More information on our event vouchers

All of our event places act as book vouchers that can be redeemed against the cost of the event book. For example, if the cost of the event book is £20 and you have purchased an £8 early bird place, then to purchase a copy of the featured event book either before or at the event you would have £12 left to pay.

All of our vouchers are valid up to and including the event, one voucher per book.

Early Bird: Our early bird places are a time limited specially reduced price for early booking. The cost of the early bird voucher can be subtracted from the cost of the event book. These are a great option if you want to hear the author talk before deciding if you would like to also buy a book.

Standard: Once the tranche of early bird places is sold out, we often have a certain number of standard places available. The cost of the standard voucher can be subtracted from the cost of the event book. These are also the best option if you want to hear the author talk before deciding if you would like to also buy a book.

Includes Book: These places gain you entry to the event and include a copy of the book that you can pick up either before or at the event. This is at no extra cost, other than the RRP of the featured book - so can also be viewed as buying the book and coming to the event for free. This is the best option to buy if you already know you would like a copy of the book.

Scholar: A specially reduced price for students and school pupils. Valid student ID required. Just like the Early Bird and Standard event vouchers, the cost of the scholar voucher can be subtracted from the full cost of the featured book.

Sometimes we run other time-limited event offers such as Bring a Friend for £X. This option features the first place as an 'includes book' voucher, but allows you to purchase a second place as a 'standard' voucher worth £X.
