The Young Adult bookclub is back by popular demand for teen readers!
We’ll be meeting once a month to talk about exciting YA fiction to come- publishers send us advance copies by superstar authors (Patrick Ness, Veronica Roth, James Dashner and more) as well as eclectic mix of thrillers, fantasies and poignant coming of age tales. A fun, unique opportunity to dissect stories, themes, characters and concepts with fellow readers.
Readers attending should bring along a wee review of either a new or an all-time favourite book (just a few sentences will do) which we can add to our Big Book of Recommendations and send off to publishers. These will then help other readers find great books! We’ll talk about the books we love (and those we haven’t) and at the end we’ll send you all home with a free, unpublished book to read and review.
We’ll be meeting on the first Sunday of each month at 10.30am, with squash and nibbles, in the Bookshop. To take part in the bookclub members must purchase a £5 voucher – either online or in the bookshop- which can be used off any book on the day. Gatherings last approximately 40 minutes and are aimed at readers aged 12 -16.
