Join us in welcoming the tremendous wit that is Lorraine Mariner and Scottish rock-star of the spoken word scene Michael Pedersen!
Michael Pedersen is a rising Scottish talent, with his first work, Part-Truths, published in 2009 becoming a finalist for the Calum Macdonald Memorial Award. His creative talents extend outside the world of poetry, as Michael is also a gifted playwright, and involved in music as, amongst many other things, the co-founder of record label Neu! Reekie! and editor of their first print magazine #UntitledOne!
Lorraine Mariner’s poem ‘Thursday‘ was shortlisted for the 2007 Forward Prize for best individual poem, with her first full-length collection, Furniture, shortlisted for both the Forward Prize for Best First Collection and the Seamus Heaney Centre Poetry Prize. Her latest, There Will Be No More Nonsense, continues to demonstrate her poetry’s undoubtable skill, being both sharp and hilarious.
