Join us in celebrating Fly Away Home, Dame Marina Warner’s long-awaited new collection of short stories!

Like her award-winning novels, Warner’s stories conjure up mysteries and wonders in a physical world, treading a delicate, magical line between the natural and the supernatural, between openness and fear.

Her unique voice has earned her a following in fiction as well as academia where, as a historian she specialises in mythology and fairy-tales, with an emphasis on the part women play in them.

Join us for a unique opportunity to toast Fly Away Home, and discuss Professor Warner’s tremendous body of work – from Once Upon a Time: A Short History of Fairy Tale to Alone of All Her Sex: The Myth and the Cult of the Virgin Mary, from The Leto Bundle to Indigo and the collection Six Myths of Our Time based on her Reith lectures.
