In Four Fields, his first book since the acclaimed The Running Sky, Tim Dee tells the story of four green fields spread around the world: their grasses, their birds, their skies, and their natural and human histories. They are walkable, mappable and knowable, but also secretive, mysterious and wild. The four fields are –  the fen field at the bottom of Tim’s Cambridgeshire garden, a field in southern Zambia, a prairie field in Little Bighorn, Montana, USA, and a grass meadow in the exclusion zone at Chernobyl, Ukraine. In this brilliant and beautiful book Dee makes us look anew at where we live and how. This will be a magical evening that opens our eyes to the hidden mysteries of the landscape we experience every day.
