Professor A.C. Grayling

Once again we welcome Professor A.C. Grayling  to Ely to celebrate his latest book War: An Enquiry.  In this  original and deeply considered work  Grayling examines, tests and challenges the concept of war, proposing that a deeper understanding of it might enable us to reduce its frequency, mitigate its horrors and lessen the burdens of its consequences. Professor Grayling, Master of the New College of Humanities has written and edited over thirty books on philosophy and other subjects; among his most recent are The Good Book, Ideas That Matter, Liberty in the Age of Terror. He is an accomplished  broadcaster and inspirational speaker; this is bound to be an evening which  both informs and entertains.
