Kate Morton’s The House at Riverton and The Secret Keeper have beguiled thousands of us: her fiction is beautifully written, full of evocative detail and completely absorbing from the first page to last. Now she has finally written her fifth novel, The Lake House, and we think it might be her best yet. Centering on the ancient house of Loeanneth, The Lake House intertwines the stories of Alice Edevane, novelist, whose family abandoned the house in the wake of a tragedy and young police officer Sadie Sparrow, who finds the abandoned house- and the age old mystery- while she recovers from a troubling case. Kate Morton has never been to Ely before, and we are looking forward to hearing from one of the best writers of the last decade.
