Doctor Who is fifty years old on 23rd November 2013.  To celebrate the Time Lord’s Golden Anniversary, local author Frank Danes will be reading from his book Fifty Years in Time and Space – A Short History of Doctor Who and dashing through the history of the series and the space-time continuum.  Expect Daleks, Cybermen, Drashigs, the Weeping Angels and celebrations galore in a witty, illuminating  and illustrated talk.  Frank is the Head of English at King’s School Ely; he missed the first two years of Doctor Who but was born on a Saturday afternoon, just in time to catch William Hartnell in the space epic “Galaxy Four” in 1965. This will be a fantastic and unmissable event for any fans of Doctor Who, so do be sure to come along.
