The Hare with the Amber Eyes was the publishing sensation of 2010, an almost unclassifiable work of memoir, meditation and history. Now Edmund de Waal turns his attention to the subject he knows best. The White Road is a  journey through a 1000 years of stories about porcelain, from those who first made it in China and its collectors in Europe, to those who were destroyed by it in the darkest moments of twentieth century history. It is de Waal’s memoir of making, and this promises to be an evening of exquisite delight.

Please note the earlier than usual start time!
