Thomasina Miers’ excellent Guardian ‘weekend cook’ column has captured our culinary imaginations with its nourishing, hugely flavoursome dishes that don’t cost the earth and are fuss-free.  She is a former masterchef winner, the author of many excellent cookery books (Mexican Food Made Simple, Chilli Notes) and the founder of the exciting Wahaca Mexican restaurant group.

Bursting with imaginative ideas and personality, her Home Cook includes all her delicious and totally do-able kitchen essentials. These are the recipes that she has fed her friends and family at her always busy kitchen table, recipes made up of family classics or food inspired by her travels and her favourite food-writers and chefs. Marmalade & poppy-seed muffins to a show-stopping seafood paella, a mouth-watering Mexican crab mayo to picadillo, the crispiest ever chicken thighs (which she makes for her children) to her upside-down rhubarb cake.

This will be an evening of exciting tastes and scintillating conversation.
