Celebrating 20 years of fun, laughter and good food, the extraordinary Giffords Circus Cookbook brings this enchanting circus to life into your homes.
We are delighted to be celebrating this magical West Country institution with the launch of their cookbook. Started by Nell and Toti Gifford in 2000, Giffords has been touring the village greens of southwest England every summer. Nothing compares with this traditional village circus with a uniquely British charm, blended with extraordinary acts from all over the world. Their travelling restaurant, Circus Sauce, is headed by chef Ols Halas and held in a beautifully decorated tent on site for circus goers to satisfy their appetite after all the fun of the performances.
The much anticipated Giffords Circus Cookbook: Recipes & Stories from a Magical Circus Restaurant celebrates two decades of delicious communal cooking alongside the story of the circus itself and its vibrant community. This evening Ols will cook and chat and infuse the bookshop with colour, stories and images of the circus and its slow journey through the English summer countryside.
