The award-winning Honey & Co are back with more delicious dishes from the Middle East – and this time their focus is firmly on the grill. There’s no smoke without fire – and Sarit and Itamar are here to show us how to fan the flames and bring out the most in our cooking.
With their latest book, Chasing Smoke, they take us on a journey filled with flavour and fire, traversing the Levant from Egypt to Jordan to Greece collecting recipes, stories, and the best of culinary culture along the way. From grilled peaches with almond tahini and charred endive, figs with manouri cheese and pomegranate sauce, prawns in honey and fresh coriander, and smoked short ribs, the scent and flavour created by the meeting of heat, wood, flesh and plant never fails to lend food a special, magical quality. Taking inspiration from both the greatest grill houses and the humblest roadside kebab joints, it’s full of comforting, no-fuss food and advice on how to recreate recipes using whatever you have at hand.
